The Latest Version of Sage 200 Proves It's Worth the Wait

At last, the release we have been waiting for: the new Sage 200 version 2010 officially launched this summer.  And with much to discover, it's a good time to learn about some of the great new features including: Sage 200 Mobile, Purchase Order Authorisation, a new BOM module, and the new Report Designer.

Sage 200 v2010 promises to be the software for the connected business, helping people to work together more effectively. Managers have instant access to company-wide information and in-depth reporting, equipping them to plan better for the future.

Having listened closely to feedback from customers and business partners, utilising wish lists and focus groups, v 2010 combines many top wish list requests to improve usability and customer satisfaction.

The following are just some of our favourites:

  • Sage 200 Mobile

Recognising that many of us are working remotely, Sage 200 Mobile enables users to access data while on the move. This allows viewing and searching of data via a Blackberry 900 series as well as 8900 and 8520.

  • Purchase Order Authorisation Enhancements

Another PlusOne favourite, the Purchase Order Authorisation area has had a total overhaul. With Sage 200 v2010 the customer now has full control over their authorisation process, making the order process more secure, with clear and concise rules. The out of office functionality helps to keep the workflow going when the person is not present to authorise orders. New workspaces have also been introduced, making the visibility of orders within the authorisation process far simpler and easer to use.

  • Remote Authorisation Alerts

By allowing users to receive email alerts, the purchase order authorisation workflow is not held up by staff being outside of Sage 200 or even the office, with mobile purchase order authorisation.

  • Retrospective Stock Valuation

Allowing a stock valuation report to be run retrospectively will make the reconciliation between the stock control module and the nominal ledger easier. Processing month ends can continue in the knowledge that the reports can be printed out later.

  • Project Accounting Workspaces

Sage 200 v2010 brings four new workspaces into Project Accounting. These workspaces improve usability with quick, easy navigation to project accounting data.
